Fire Survival


A range of fire-survival cables designed to ensure electrical circuit integrity during and after a fire hazard. They ensure that critical essential emergency equipment continues to operate, allowing for the immediate effect of evacuation procedures. These cables are specified for use in public buildings including hospitals, airports, shopping centres and other densely inhabited environments where public safety cannot be compromised.

In addition to its ability to perform when subjected to fire, single core fire-survival cables include Class 5 flexible copper conductors. This construction provides greater flexibility, allowing for easier installation.

Standard ASNZS 3013 is a test standard designed to assess a wiring system’s ability to maintain circuit integrity under: specified fire conditions; mechanical impact; cutting stress; and water spray for defined periods of time. This range of fire survival cables achieved a WS52W classification when tested to this standard which indicates a two hour fire rating and protection against light-to-moderate impact.
